Rockin Reviews – Ten in the Bin
Mornin. So I didn’t read a rocker book, YET AGAIN. Damn. I have them there but when you’re caught up in other books it’s hard to follow. Especially when the book is a hot m/m romance book with my third favorite thing next to sex and music; SPORTS. Even hotter when it involves accents, Australian in the case and hot men who tackle each other in short shorts and no pads. Ahem… Rugby yep, rugby and Ten in the Bin is such a good story, I read it on the bus ride to the next city. *grins*.
What I like most about this story is two unassuming characters, teammates who are standing up for one another. When character Dean Cartwright gets knocked out by an opposing teams player, his good friend Maaca is there to pick him up. You might assume that Maaca isn’t into him at all or worse, he might be straight but just like my situation with Nicholai, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
The author’s painting of characters, Dean and Maaca are pretty realistic. Two men who love the team atmosphere, aren’t totally out the closet but comfortable within themselves. And since I’m American and not an Aussie, N.R gives us insight into the game. It’s a fluffy romance with a little conflict which at times is good. It worked with this book, and I look forward to reading more from this author. Love the sexy cover too!

From Goodreads Heartbroken, Dean Cartwright leaves Sydney and heads home, to the coastal town of Newcastle. In a bid to make new friends, he signs up for a local rugby league team where he meets a man known as Macca.
Dean and Macca are both front row forwards, meaning they’re the biggest guys on the team. Over six feet tall and over a hundred kilos each, they’re a force to be reckoned with on the field.
But when Dean gets knocked out, Macca gets even by punching the other guy, and both Dean and Macca end up on the sideline.
Dean soon realizes that being knocked unconscious is the best thing to ever happen to him.
